On life's path we are guaranteed we will face uncertainty and unknowns. Our decisions of the moment are made with the knowledge and skill we currently have available to us. Our success or failure provides us with experience to use when we are faced with the next obstacle and the next decision to be made. If we are willing to look at our history as lessons, instead of judgement and regret, we will find our evolution in life to be more productive and fulfilling.
We can should of, would of, could of, all we want, but it will not change the outcome of the past. Why then do we waste so much time dwelling in a state of time which cannot be changed? What can we do that will be more productive to produce the change we desire?
When our fears and anxiety arise, from mistakes of the past or fear of failure in the future, we must face them and understand the lessons they are striving to teach us. Fear and anxiety are symptoms of an uncertain mind which is lacking confidence in moving forward in a direction of life. Taking time to understand the emotion behind the fear and anxiety, will help to enlighten what we need to improve upon in order to move forward and not continue to repeat the lessons of the past.
If we are able to communicate with others, about our fear and anxiety we will often find we have more in common than we have in differences. Relationship challenges occur when there is lack of communication to address the emotions within. Communication is one of the essential cornerstones of a healthy relationship. If a relationship is failing, look first at the effectiveness of communication. Does both parties walk away from the conversation feeling like they have been heard? Do both parties feel they have received the emotional and logical reassurance they require in order to move forward?
Take the time to reflect on your communication patterns. Everyone has room for improvement. Listen to learn. Communicate to find resolution.
Sometimes life is filled with uncertainty and unknowns. Rather than being haunted with, 'What if?' stay focused on being true to yourself.
Face those fears and anxieties that haunt you. They aren't going to go away. Find out their meaning. Find out the lessons to be learned.
We have far more in common that we have in differences. It's always where we choose to put our focus. Find the commonality. Unite.
What will you do today, to build a better tomorrow?
