Every day we are unfolding the complexities we find in life. With more information at our disposal our need to sort out truth from speculation has never been greater. Much of our fears and anxiety are based upon speculation, rather than fact. We gain a bit of information and our mind can often run wild to try and fill in the gaps and fit the pieces of the puzzle together.
An analytical and creative mind have similarities in that both sides take information and begin to process it to find better understand and reasoning for what we lack understanding of. They differ in that one finds solutions based upon math an science and the other finds solutions that could become a best selling novel. We all tend to be naturally stronger on one side of our mind. Left brain or right brain critical thinking both has benefits and need to be used with caution.
Strengthening the side we are weaker in, takes time and commitment, but is well worth the effort. It gives us a balance and check system within our thoughts. We find creative solutions to remedy the challenges in life, and we analyze these solution with facts and data to determine if this is the best course of action.
When pursuing our attempt to strengthen a weaker side of our brain, it is important to not compare ourselves with those who have superior natural talent. Each improvement benefits us. We are not in a contest with anyone else, but a contest to be better tomorrow than we were today.
Let's reflect a moment on areas where we feel there is room for improvement. Setting small goals to help us improve in these areas should be considered as a life-long attempt. We are not running a sprint, we are in a marathon in life. We've come a long way, but there is still a long journey ahead of us. Small consistent actions still lead to great destinations.
