Success is a choice. When we focus on the outcome of success, rather than the fear of failure, we choose to succeed by our actions.

Hidden Treasures - Day Thirty

One of the biggest challenges we face when we view our success, is the challenge to face the barriers and limitations we place upon ourselves. These may be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. When we think of barriers in our way, we can become stuck in addressing if we are the source of cause for the barriers we face.

Self-discipline and self-motivation are required to move these barriers in order for us to proceed. We must be willing to ask ourselves the tough questions and face the person in the mirror. Was a choice we made, the catalyst for the barrier we are facing? Are there areas in our lives where we need to improve to overcome the obstacles we have placed in our path?

Too often, it is easier to point fingers and blame another for our situations. When we do so, we are limiting our options to overcome, as we have no control over how the another chooses to engage. When we accept responsibility for where we are in life and realize our inaction to remove the barrier, was an active action on our part to remain in the situation we are in.

If we were not able to further our education due to lack of financial ability, have we researched online for free or minimal cost to learn the skills we seek? Until we face the part we play in our struggles to overcome, we give power to those who do not have our best interest in mind.

The choice is ours to make. What action will we take today, to overcome the challenges we face today, in order for us to be better tomorrow?

Today, let's take a moment and reflect upon what barriers we place on our path and what actions we need to take, to remove these barriers. Let's take a moment to decide what are we willing to sacrifice today, in order to have the time to build a better tomorrow.

As we reflect upon our success, daily we will explore our commitment to ourselves and what the goals we set. Taking time to write down what went wrong, what was a struggle, and what was a complete failure will help us to gain insight on how to overcome the times, when we struggle and fail to keep the commitments to ourselves.
Focusing on our internal commitments, will strengthen the external commitments we make to others.
