As I do my normal yearly evaluation of my goals and achievements, I celebrate my wins, learn from my failures, and begin to analyze the strategy needed to reach my goals. Two years ago, I entered this strange world of social media. While I had a Facebook page, to stay in touch with family and friends, I wasn't active on many social media platforms. I felt it was a waste of time.
When I decided to become an author, I spent the last several years diving deep into social media. Striving to learn each of the different personalities, nuances, and quirks of each platform. I set up multiple accounts and pages, on various platforms to push my writing. I was constantly in testing mode. A benefit from my User Experience career. Test, test, test, to find out what resonates with the user.
It has been an incredible learning journey. I've met and talked with people all over the world. Though our time together may have been just a moment in time, I will always appreciate those moments.
It is with deep reflection, that I have made the decision to close the majority of my social media accounts at the end of this year.
I will instead be focused on posting my writing here. I feel this is a wise business decision which will help me have more time in writing my books. A heartfelt thank you for everyone who has liked, commented, and shared my writing. I am and will forever be grateful for your interest in my writing.
