The one area of our lives which gives us the full range of emotional experience is the realm of love. It is the one experience which we go into, knowing our hearts will be broken. We only hope, it will occur when we are old and grey and have lived a lifetime with the one who is a part of our heart.
It is the soul connection we ultimately seek. A bonding of two souls which then extends into the bonding of the physical body. When the focus is on the body, we are left haunted with not being emotionally fulfilled.
In our attempt to fill this gap, we begin our hunt to find the one who want to 'complete us.' Yet, are we not already complete? Are we not capable of going through life and being fulfilled?
If we take the time to reflect on this innate need, we may find our focus to find is contrary to the natural development of love. To be loved, we must first understand how to love. It begins with ourselves.
Anytime we place our happiness and wellness in the hands of another, with expectations to fulfill our desires, we will be left feeling empty. Likewise, anyone placing their happiness and wellness in our hands, will be left disappointed. Why? Because no one knows our needs better than ourselves. We can not control another person's actions, nor can we be controlled. Why then do we place one of our most priceless piece of us in another's hands with an expectation to fulfill the desires of our mind and heart?
When we focus on ourselves and becoming complete within, we gain insight into areas of weaknesses which we need to strengthen. When we are more aware of the qualities we desire to have, we become more aware of the qualities in others we choose to associate with.
Attributes which we struggle with and desire to change, we will equally find unappealing in others. There is a natural evolution of our association with others, as we further evolve into the individual we desire to be.
Instead of our focus being on finding someone, by working on ourselves, we will naturally begin to align with the person who has the qualities we desire... because we have those same qualities they similarly desire.
Let's step back and stop our search for striving to find another, and instead step in and begin searching within ourselves. The deepest chamber in the Realm of Love is the chamber which unlocks the pathway to learning to love ourselves.
The Realm of Love isn't for the faint of heart. Only those who are willing to travel and explore deep within, will find what so many in the world are searching for... unconditional love. After all, we are with ourselves 24/7, shouldn't we first learn to live and love the person we spend so much time with? Shouldn't we first learn how to live peacefully and enjoyably with ourselves?
