Success is a choice. When we focus on the outcome of success, rather than the fear of failure, we choose to succeed by our actions.

Hidden Treasures - Day Twenty-Three

Oh let's face it. We all are quirky in our own way. What makes life interesting and fun is when we observe and appreciate how we make our quirks work for us. What makes us be able to live habitably with others is appreciating how they make their quirks work for them. If it wasn't for our quirks, life would get pretty boring and robotic.

When is the last time, we've reflected on the quirks that either make others smile, shake their head, or become frustrated. When was the last time we've thought about how our quirks cause us to do the same thing? Think of the idiosyncrasies which seem natural to you, but odd to others. Do we embrace our differences or are we in a constant state of influx of criticism which puts us into a consistent state of trying to change to please another's opinion?

Success is being secure with we are, while understanding we are a continuing evolution to become better. It is our ability to take feedback, process is objectively, and then determine which we will implement and which we will disregard. Every comment has value, if we will explore to understand our emotional reaction to the comment. We can walk away better informed of the individual's thought process, formulation of opinions, and how we want to further engage with them.

Today, let's reflect on our quirks. Let's reflect on our thoughts about us. We can be our greatest ally or our worst enemy, by how we engage with ourselves and appreciate the quirks in our personality. Relationships with others, extends with a foundation of how our relationship is with ourselves.

Quirks and all... we are with ourselves 24/7... we might want to figure out how to be in a healthy relationship with ourselves.
