Many would think a blue monochromatic color palette would make a room feel cold. Yet, if you played with these colors, you would find they provide a beautiful background to introduce a wide variety of colors to brighten and warm the room up. Once again we must return to what nature teaches us about color.
In the middle of winter, nature still has evergreen trees. Dried red berries still hang on tree limbs providing food for birds with a variety of color. Red colored foxes and snow leopards are a beautiful contrast to winter's colors.
When looking at this color palette, start thinking about how you can utilize other colors which will stand out with this monochromatic blue background. From soft pinks to vibrant reds, this palette can be expanded in a variety of directions.
