Today we are going to reflect on empathy. It can be easy for us to have empathy for others, but if our mind is constantly being critical of ourselves, we will struggle with showing ourselves understanding our emotions and being able to express them.
Empathy is being able to understand another's emotions and to be able to share the feelings they are experiencing. If we are not able to understand our emotions, how can we express how and why we are feeling what we are?
Often, a person's inability to have empathy for others, is a direct reflection of their inability to understand and articulate their own emotional response to life events.
Fears hold us back. They are usually tied to a loss. When we face our fears and explore where these fears were planted, and what we are afraid to loose, we can address the initial thoughts surrounding that particular fear.
